  7.         Nonlin performs linear and nonlinear statistical regression
  8.         analysis. Nonlin determines the values of parameters for an
  9.         equation, whose form you specify, that cause the equation to
  10.         best fit a set of data values. Nonlin can handle linear,
  11.         multivariate, polynomial, logistic, and general nonlinear
  12.         equations.  You specify the form of the equation using normal
  13.         algebraic notation. Nonlin includes a rich set of built-in
  14.         library functions such as trig, probability, exponential, log,
  15.         Bessel, etc. that you can use in the equation being fitted to
  16.         the data.

  18.         In addition to fitting the equation to the data, Nonlin
  19.         determines a variety of statistics including confidence
  20.         intervals, t and F statistics, and Durbin-Watson test for
  21.         autocorrelation. Nonlin can also plot the data and fitted
  22.         equation.

  24.         Nonlin includes a 45 page manual that explains regression
  25.         analysis and gives many examples.
